Rebecca Ray Designs: It's All About the Accessories!

Lets face it- the equestrian brand is not only a sport, but a lifestyle now and of course everything from boots with faux spurs (gag) and wallets with bits are popping up in department stores. 

We can't get enough of equine related accessories so we brought Rebecca Ray into our store- she makes the most adorable stuff!

Equestri Lifestyle: Custom Show Coats 2014

Per request of a friend I am compiling a list of show coats for the 2014 show season that have NOT been overdone and are classically stylish for years to come.

Alessandro Albanese- This is the 'Technoready' show jacket and is described as elegantly sporty. I mean should I even say more other then this is Reed Kesslers only show jacket? This is worn by many many top jumper riders around the world and just has a great look and fit. A great feature is that the interior of the technoready style is the breathable net lining.

Charles Ancona- Another beautiful coat.... this also comes in any color combos imaginable and is made with full stretch Italian fabric. This jacket is sized by Charles guaranteeing the perfect fit. I think one of the best things about this jacket is that it is machine washable and requires no ironing- so now you wont have to worry when traveling if it comes out of your suitcase completely wrinkled.

The Le Fash 'City Breech'

OMG are the only words that come to mouth when talking about the brand new 'City Breech' from Le Fash.

Many people are probably thinking yeah, yeah another pair of riding pants but STOP these pants are just over the top in not only comfort but style. 

I got the opportunity to try a pair of these pants on last week and to be honest I did not want to take them off... which is usually the first thing I want to do when I get home from the barn. 

Some riding pants have become so constricting and boring ( um please take those high waisted grandma pants off...) But Le Fash did such a splendid job on these. I guarantee you once you try a pair on you won't want to wear anything else.

Oh and the best part is, the barn isn't the only place they can be worn.

What you'll love: The thick waist band- not only do they fall perfectly on the hips but it is very accommodating for an Hermes belt :). The brown knee patch, which totally reminds me of a line Ralph Lauren did, and the gold rivets really add a subtle statement on these breeches. And don't worry if you are worried about the gold hardware fitting under your tall boots they are paper thin so they can accommodate any custom tall boot.

Quilted Riding Coats

Asmar Equestrian Fall 2013

Asmar Equestrian is SO Chic. Their latest Fall 2013 wardrobe is so stylish it could easily cross over to a day of shopping on Fifth Ave. 

Here are some of my favorites:

Boyfriend Sweater- I mean honestly is this not the cutest sweater for fall? What is not to love about this loose fitted cable knit sweater with the contrasting elbow patches... This beautiful sweater comes in three colors: cappuccino, heather grey and natural. I don't know about you but aside from looking stunning with a pair of whites and tall boots this would also be super cute with a pair of skinnies and some smoking slippers. This is a go on my list!

The All Weather Rider- can you say MAJOR? OMG this jacket is kind of to die for. Just imagine yourself in black riding pants, your patent leather tall boots and this beauty. And not only is it totally chic but it is totally functionable for riding. The back features a zipper that when unzipped accommodates your saddle shielding it from the rain. Not only would I wear this to ride and look so stylish but I would also totally wear this as an everyday rain coat which makes the price justifiable.

Riding Boots: Custom & Non Custom

As a request I am doing a review on the best riding boots out their for showing & just riding. With so many brands of boots it can be complicated to even begin looking, then tack on the option of customization and your head might spin. What is very important no matter what boot you choose custom or not is that they fit just right. Nobody wants to see someone in boots with a baggy oversized calf or boots that are too short. Also I am really loving how boots are giving the options of laces or no laces (I particularly like the no lace boots right now, who needs laces anyways? I think the boots without laces look a lot more expensive and elegant as a dress boot.)

CUSTOM BOOTS

F.illi Fabbri- I am being biased and starting with my own boots because I love them so much. F.illi Fabbri is an amazing authentic Italian brand of boots that are fully custom from top to bottom- you think they create. These boots are made in Italy in a boot shop by hand and then are sent back to you. Although they run pricey they are well worth it because you can literally put anything you want on the boots even down to the color of the crystals that surround the logo. They come fitting perfect and also if anything ever breaks you have their personal number to have them fixed right away.
Some of the cusomizable options include, toe punch, toe shape, patent leather, crocodile, crystal color, laces or no laces, etc...

NON CUSTOM BOOTS

Tredstep da Vinci Field Boot- I think this is a wonderful option for people not looking to spend a ton of money on boots but want a great looking boot to show and ride in. This boot looks custom but the price tag is cut in half. I love how they come with low profile laces and spur rest. A great boot for a great price. If you don't like the lace option they have another style called the Raphael without laces.

Ariat Monaco Field Boot- Now this is Ariat's most expensive tall boot but I have not heard great things about this boot. Many people are wearing them but I have heard from numerous people that they fall apart very fast. I feel spending an extra couple hundred dollars is well worth it for a custom fit and something with quality that you know will be fixed by the maker if something does happen. For the price these boots get a thumb down in my book.

Der Dau Contour II Field Boot- Now Der Dau is usually known for making fully custom boots but these are a great pair of their off the shelf boots. These boots have great reviews as well. A custom look and feel without the price tag.

So I stumbled across this brand of bonnets for your horse and they are so adorable! Cavalletti Custom Bonnets makes fully customizable jumper ears for your horse so no two are alike. Also the sponsor for the 2012 Olympic jumping team, these bonnets are awesome. They also do beautiful custom JUSTWORLD International bonnets as well.  Basically you just tell them what you want and they can make it!
